This was a university project I conducted in my 3rd year at Brunel University. The key areas I focused on included a transition effect for the pirate map and whimsical 2D illustrated character designs.

Design Insight
Designing the motion when activating the games map was something I really enjoyed for this project as I got to experiment with the boundaries between ecological and empathetic UI systems. By creating an overlay element for the map, I was able to create a seamless transition to the UI element which felt immersive and theme appropriate for the overall project's aesthetic.
